We've shown you before that you can create an itinerary from your iPhone or Android phone, but did you know that you can also create an itinerary from the web? Well, you can, and we're going to show you how!
First, go to http://www.witur.com and log in using your e-mail and password. Then, click on the "Create" tab, next to the red arrow below.
This will take you to a screen that will ask you to compose the itinerary summary. This is the first thing that people searching for itineraries will see, so be as specific as you'd like! You can see an example of this screen below.
You need to give your itinerary a title under "Name the Itinerary," then write a summary of your itinerary under "Summarize your Itinerary." Decide whether or not you would like your itinerary to be public or private, choose a language for your itinerary, select a category from the dropdown list, and upload a picture. You can see how we've filled out an example of a summary below.
When you are finished with your example summary, click "Save." This will take you to your itinerary page, where you can add stages. To begin adding stages, click on the "Add stages" button, shown next to the red arrow below.
Next, you will be taken to a screen for a new stage. This looks similar to the itinerary summary page, but is just for one stage of your trip. First, ender the name of your stage. Then, describe what you did at this stage. After that, you need to locate your stage on the map. You can enter search terms and search for the location of this stage if you choose to locate it automatically. If you locate it manually, you need to enter the address of your stage. Then, upload a picture of this stage and choose how long you have spent there. A completed example can be seen below.
When you're satisfied with your stage, click "Save." This will take you back to the itinerary page, seen below. You can add any number of stages you like by clicking "Add stages" on this page and entering information the same way. When you're totally finished with the itinerary, click "Finish," which can be seen next to the red arrow below.
After you click "Finish," you will be taken to your itinerary. This is what people see when they search for your itinerary and select it to view. You can see an example of this below.
But what if you clicked "Finish" and you realize you forgot a stage? You can still edit your itinerary from the web. First, click on the "My Witur" tab. This will bring up a list of all of your itineraries. Then, locate the itinerary you would like to edit. Click on the "Edit" link underneath the itinerary picture, as seen next to the red arrow below.
This will take you back to the edit phase of your itinerary. Here, you can edit stages, delete stages, and add more stages to your itinerary.
Safe travels!
